The End is Near....

It has been an interesting last few weeks to say the least. After that doctor's appointment I had on the 12th, I haven't been back to work. My blood pressure continued to stay low when I was laying down and then elevated when I was sitting up. So she thought with the way I sit up all day at work and the added stress of work in general, it would be better to just be done with work. So I tied up all my loose ends and have been just laying around at home. As much as I can make myself that is! It messed up my maternity plan for work a little bit, but that is what I get for being such a planner I guess. And I am hoping it will still work out to be off of work until August. Fingers crossed!

So for the last two weeks I have had to go to the doctor on both Tuesdays and Thursdays to monitor everything to make sure everything else was still okay. Between blood tests, urine samples, NST's... everything is still going great. Just the blood pressure won't go down! At my appointment I had last Thursday, she mentioned she would want me to deliver at 39 weeks. So I started asking her questions about this and she said we will talk about it at my appointment Tuesday, which was today. So Grant thought it would be a good idea to be at this appointment with me, so he came with today.

I had lost three pounds last week, but thanks to Grant's mom bringing over a French Silk Pie and my mom bringing over tons of bars, my weight was back up today. :) Better enjoy those sweets now before I have to lose all this weight! My blood pressure was high again today when sitting, and low when laying down. At least it is consistent right? SO she suggested that we schedule an induction for this Monday, Memorial Day. There is an end in site! I am dilated to almost 2cm, 80% effaced, -2 station so I am hoping that this progress will make the induction easier than I have heard from other people. With this heat, I am more than ready to be done! So stay tuned for further updates, I am still hoping he decides to come on his own before then. :)

Here is a picture of me today, 38 weeks, 3 days....
